Functionality and features Troubleshooting

Getting your Computer ID.
You will need it to register the program. To get the Computer ID, download and run the Demo version, then click the Register button in the demo version dialog.

Will my Computer ID change if I reinstall the operating system or change the hardware on my computer?
Normally no, the hardware binding is designed to allow for most changes without causing any problems. For example, you can reinstall the operating system or upgrade the hard drive and your Computer ID will not change. However, the Computer ID will change if you change your MAC address. This can happen either because you replace your network card or use a special program (such as VMware) that changes the MAC address.

What if my Computer ID changes?
If your Computer ID changes you will have to purchase a new license.

Payment Methods.
The order form on our website will allow you to make a secure payment using either a credit card or a PayPal account (for credit card payments the transaction will also be handled by PayPal but you do not need a PayPal account). Payments through Moneybookers are not longer accepted.

Supported games and casinos.
You can find the list of supported games and casinos on our main page.

System requirements
Q-Wager requires Windows XP or Windows Vista. For Chartwell casinos you need to use Internet Explorer 7 or FireFox 2. Your monitor resolution should be higher than 800x600.

Starting the game.
For Q-Wager to read the graphical information correctly please make sure the game window is fully visible. To start playing follow these steps:

  1. Place the initial bet and click the Deal button in the casino window.
  2. Select the casino type in the Q-Wager dialog.
  3. Press the Select button, then click on the game window.
  4. Press the Start button.
Duration of play.
You can specify the number of bets and the amount of time you want to play in the corresponding text boxes. The program will be playing until the bet or time counter reaches zero. You can change both counters while playing. Q-Wager displays the total time played (in minutes) and the total number of bets placed (counting doubles and splits).

Game speed.
The delays between clicks are random but you can adjust the overall game speed by using the slider in the program dialog. We do not recommend setting the speed to high.

Stopping the game.
If you wish to pause the game, move the mouse cursor outside the game window. To stop playing altogether, press the Stop button.

How to troubleshoot
First, make sure that you have selected the correct casino type (only English versions are supported) and are playing the correct game. For example, you should not play Blackjack Switch or European Blackjack instead of regular Blackjack. If you are using the Demo version it might not play simply because of its limited functionality. The next thing to check is your monitor settings. If they are correct you should read one of the sections below dealing specifically with your casino type.

Important settings to check.
Please check the following monitor settings, which can be accessed from Display Properties:

  1. Color Quality should be set to "Highest (32bit)" (Settings).
  2. DPI should be set to "Normal size (96 DPI)" (Settings>Advanced>General).
  3. The font size should be set to "Normal" (Appearance).
  4. The effects for smoothing font edges should be turned on and set to "Standard", not "ClearType" (Appearance>Effects).
  5. On some systems the resolution should be set to 1152x864 or 1024x768 (Settings).

Problems with Playtech.
Q-Wager assumes the default card size. If you set the card size to large you should change it back.

Problems with CryptoLogic.
Intercasino Germany, China, etc. have a different interface and are not supported. However, Intercasino UK has a standard interface and is supported.

Problems with RTG.
RTG casinos are now in the process of switching to a new interface. Q-Wager plays at those casinos that have already switched, such as BetRoyal, PowerBet, ConnectToCasino, Crystal Club and many others. Make sure you place the bet in the center or on the right side of the table.

Problems with Chartwell.
Q-Wager works for the no-download version of Chartwell. Also, you must place your bet in the center. If the bot displays an error message such as "Not a Chartwell or wrong browser", "The window cannot be resized" or "Resolution too low" please make sure your are using the correct version of the browser (IE7 or FF2), the game window is not maximized, and the monitor resolution is higher than 800x600.

Problems with Grand Virtual.
Q-Wager assumes the default card face design, which can be changed by clicking Game Options in the casino game window. If the bot displays the error message "Unsupported game", check that you are playing either Vegas Strip or Single Deck Blackjack.

Problems with Rival.
There are currently no issues specific to Rival casinos.
